Farm to Table Cooking
Kerri Nelson, with Moms for Real Food Initiative and Willow Brush Ranch, introduced students to cooking with farm fresh ingredients. On the menu was quiche, roast chicken, mashed potatoes, honey glazed carrots, and sauteed spinach. Next week students will learn to prepare omelettes, tomato sauce, soup, and gravy. Thank you to Willow Brush Ranch for their donation of chicken, eggs, and potatoes. Thanks also to Zion and United Church Thrift Stores for their cash donations for groceries.
